A quick and delicious meal combining steak and asparagus, cooked in one skillet for easy cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the steak to the hot skillet and cook until desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest.
  5. Add asparagus and minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  6. Slice the steak and serve it alongside the asparagus.
  7. Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.

Notes

Let the steak sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking for even cooking. A meat thermometer helps ensure perfect doneness.
