Delicious Snickerdoodle cookies with a sweet and spicy flavor, featuring a delightful cinnamon sugar coating.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt until fully combined.
  5. Combine 1/4 cup sugar with the cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Roll the dough into balls, then roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.
  7. Place the coated dough balls on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Cookies are best served warm or at room temperature. They can also be paired with milk or ice cream.
