  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter and whisk in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Mix the additional granulated sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle it on top of the batter.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before cutting into bars and serving.
