A quick and easy dessert featuring sweet and tangy cherry goodness.

Ingredients

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the cherry pie filling evenly across the bottom of a baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pie filling.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  5. If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream. Can store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for 2 months.
