A delicious twist on classic brownies, combining the flavors of banana bread and rich chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in the melted butter, then add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas and don’t overmix the batter. You can add nuts or dried fruit for extra texture.
