  • Mochi flour (or glutinous rice flour)
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Cornstarch (for dusting)

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix the mochi flour with sugar and water until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a microwave-safe dish.
  3. Microwave in short intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture thickens (about 2-3 minutes in total).
  4. Dust a clean surface with cornstarch and spread the cooked mochi onto it.
  5. Allow to cool slightly, then cut into squares.
  6. Melt white chocolate and spread a layer onto half of the mochi squares.
  7. Top with another mochi piece to create a sandwich.
  8. Allow to set before serving.
  9. Optionally, dust with matcha powder for extra flavor.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerated for up to a week. Dust generously with cornstarch to avoid stickiness.
