A delightful blend of buttery biscuits layered with fresh strawberries and drizzled with honey butter.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter into the flour mixture and cut it until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface for about a minute.
  6. Roll the dough out to about 1-inch thickness and cut out circles.
  7. Bake the biscuits for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Mix the melted butter and honey in a bowl until smooth.
  9. Layer the biscuits with sliced strawberries and drizzle honey butter over the top.
  10. Serve the warm stacks immediately.

Notes

For best results, use very cold butter for flaky biscuits. Pair with whipped cream or yogurt for serving.
