Delightful stacks of buttery biscuits layered with sweet fresh strawberries and drizzled with honey butter, perfect for brunch or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter into the flour mixture and cut until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk until just combined.
  5. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface for about a minute.
  6. Roll the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut out circles.
  7. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Mix the melted butter and honey in a small bowl until smooth.
  10. Layer the biscuits with sliced strawberries and drizzle with honey butter.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in herbs into the honey butter or a dash of cinnamon into the biscuit dough.
