These crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside waffles are perfect for breakfast or brunch, customizable with your favorite toppings.

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients: beat the eggs and stir in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined with some lumps remaining.
  5. Grease the waffle iron lightly if necessary to prevent sticking.
  6. Pour an appropriate amount of batter into the preheated waffle iron.
  7. Cook and carefully remove the waffle according to your iron’s instructions; serve immediately with desired toppings.
