Delightful vanilla sugar cookies with a buttery flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and white sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass and sprinkle with sugar.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until the edges are golden.
  9. Cool on wire racks.
