  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure the perfect baking temperature.
  2. Line a cupcake pan with paper liners, ready for the sweet batter that’s about to come.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until smooth and creamy.
  5. Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla bean paste.
  6. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  8. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let them cool before frosting.
