A delightful twist on a classic meatloaf, combining traditional flavors with the boldness of Korean BBQ.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the glaze:
  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, milk, egg, gochujang, soy sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Mix together the glaze ingredients in a separate bowl: gochujang, soy sauce, and brown sugar.
  5. Pour half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake the meatloaf for 45-55 minutes, until cooked through.
  7. Brush the remaining glaze over the meatloaf for the last 10 minutes of baking.
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice and pickled vegetables for an authentic experience. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months.
