A comforting and hearty casserole featuring ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, and crunchy potatoes, perfect for family dinners.

  • 1 pound Ground beef (Halal-certified)
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Frozen mixed vegetables (peas and carrots)
  • 4 cups Potato slices (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup (Halal-friendly)
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by gathering all items. Dice the onion, mince the garlic, and slice fresh potatoes if using.
  2. Sauté the beef in a large skillet with olive oil until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Mix in the frozen mixed vegetables and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Combine the cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and paprika into the skillet.
  5. Layer half of the potato slices in a greased baking dish, pour the beef mixture over them, and top with the remaining potato slices.
  6. Add cheese on top of the final potato layer.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) covered with foil for 30 minutes, then uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes after baking.
  9. Serve generous portions and enjoy!
