Deliciously soft and fluffy rolls filled with luscious vanilla cream and juicy strawberries, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup vanilla bean cream (or vanilla pudding)
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, forming the base for the rolls.
  2. Mix wet ingredients in another bowl.
  3. Create the dough by adding wet to dry ingredients and kneading.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Spread vanilla bean cream over the dough and top with sliced strawberries.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

For a healthier version, swap half of the all-purpose flour for whole wheat flour and slightly reduce the sugar.
