A delightful pull-apart brioche with creamy strawberry filling that’s perfect for sharing and enjoying with coffee.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberry cream (cream cheese mixed with strawberries)
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing warm milk and yeast; let it sit until bubbly.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add the bubbly yeast mixture, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla into the flour mixture; stir until combined.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth, about 5-7 minutes, then let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into pieces to form a ring.
  6. Fill each piece with strawberry cream and reshape them into balls.
  7. Let the dough rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Brush the dough with an egg wash and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or wrap and refrigerate for a week.
