A delightful breakfast that combines the classic flavors of cheesecake with the freshness of strawberries, all while being incredibly easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings: additional strawberries, granola, or nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine the Base Ingredients: In a jar or bowl, combine rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir well to combine until everything is beautifully blended.
  2. Fold in Fresh Strawberries: Gently fold in the chopped strawberries, allowing their natural sweetness to enhance the mixture while retaining their delightful texture.
  3. Cover and Refrigerate: Cover your jar or bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 4-6 hours, or overnight for the best results. This is where the magic happens as the oats absorb the liquid and soften.
  4. Stir and Adjust Consistency: In the morning, give the mixture a good stir, adding more milk if needed to reach your desired consistency. Sometimes, a little splash of milk can transform the dish entirely!
  5. Garnish and Serve: Top with additional strawberries, granola, or nuts if desired before serving. These toppings not only add texture but also create a beautiful presentation!

Notes

For a creamier texture, blend the Greek yogurt and milk before mixing with oats. You can also experiment with different fruits.
