A delightful smoked ham recipe topped with caramelized onions and a sweet honey glaze, perfect for any special occasion.

  • 1 fully cooked ham
  • 2 large sweet onions, caramelized
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. Rub the mixture over the entire ham.
  4. Place the ham in the smoker and smoke for about 120-240 minutes, glazing with caramelized onions halfway through.
  5. Remove from the smoker, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

Make sure to caramelize the onions properly for the best flavor. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey. Don’t rush the smoking process for better flavor.
