A delightful twist on a classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring creamy smoked gouda and crisp apple slices.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of smoked gouda cheese
  • 1 small apple, thinly sliced
  • Butter for spreading

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Layer the creamy smoked gouda cheese and thinly sliced apple on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  3. Assemble the sandwich with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the sandwich until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Flip the sandwich and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
