Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 4 Taco shells
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup Tomatoes, diced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Pickles, sliced
  • Ketchup, to taste
  • Mustard, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Form ground beef into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Smash the beef balls down in the hot skillet with a spatula and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Melt a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty, cover with a lid, and cook until melted.
  5. Transfer the cooked patties into taco shells.
  6. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  7. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

For added juiciness, use beef with a higher fat content, like 80/20. Make cleanup easier by using parchment paper in the skillet.
