  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • Zest of 2 oranges
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the eggs, orange juice, sugar, orange zest, and salt until well combined.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  3. Once thickened, remove the saucepan from heat and strain the curd through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl.
  4. Stir in the unsalted butter until it melts completely.
  5. Let your creation cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

Use fresh orange juice for the best flavor. Whisk constantly to prevent curdling.
