A delightful and quick dish combining garlic, butter, and shrimp with pasta, brightened by lemon juice and herbs.

  • 8 oz pasta (linguine or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup white wine or chicken broth
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup parsley (chopped)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour in the white wine or chicken broth and simmer for a couple of minutes.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice and cooked pasta, tossing to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley. Serve warm, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes according to your spice preference. Add vegetables for extra nutrition.
