A hearty and filling casserole combining classic sausage and gravy flavors, perfect for busy mornings or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 package (10 oz) frozen hash browns
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and eggs in a bowl until combined.
  4. Layer the hash browns in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, followed by the cooked sausage, and pour the egg mixture on top.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the cheese is melted.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve with green onions if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with a side of fresh fruit or toast. Can be customized with different types of sausage or cheese.
