Delightful dome-shaped cakes filled with creamy white chocolate mousse, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Red food coloring
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour dome-shaped cake pans.
  2. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Add the milk and vanilla extract to the mixture.
  5. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in another bowl, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  6. Fill the cake pans evenly with the batter.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
  8. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and gently fold in melted white chocolate and red food coloring.
  9. Slice each cooled cake layer in half horizontally.
  10. Assemble the cakes by layering chocolate cake and mousse.
  11. Frost the outside with mousse to resemble Santa’s hat.
  12. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
