A rich and buttery salted caramel cake filling that elevates any dessert.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar, stirring continuously until it turns a golden brown.
  2. Once your sugar is melting beautifully, add the butter and stir until it’s fully melted and incorporated.
  3. Now for the fun part! Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the sea salt.
  5. Allow your caramel to cool before using it as a filling.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Reheat gently before using.
