Salted Caramel Brownies

Delicious brownies combining rich chocolate and sweet caramel, topped with sea salt for an irresistible treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt; stir into the butter mixture just until combined.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Drizzle with half of the caramel sauce.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl with a knife to marble.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with sea salt.
  11. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat. Store in an airtight container up to 3 days at room temperature or 1 week refrigerated.
