Delightful raspberry cinnamon rolls perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert, topped with a sweet glaze and fresh raspberries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • Fresh raspberries (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Warm the milk and butter together until melted, then let cool slightly. Add the egg and the milk mixture to the dry ingredients.
  3. Knead the dough until it is smooth, then let it rise for about 60 minutes or until it has doubled in size.
  4. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread the raspberry jam on top, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Roll the dough into a log and cut it into individual rolls.
  6. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons milk until smooth.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the rolls and top with fresh raspberries. Serve warm.

Notes

Make sure your milk is warm but not hot when you mix it with the yeast. You can use store-bought cinnamon roll dough for convenience, but homemade dough tastes best.
