This pulled pork recipe is a delicious, slow-cooked dish that captures the essence of summer cookouts and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, paprika, mustard, and brown sugar.
  3. Assemble the seasoned pork in a roasting pan with the chopped onion and minced garlic.
  4. Cover the pan with foil and cook for 4-5 hours.
  5. Rest the pork for a few minutes after removing it from the oven.
  6. Shred the pork using two forks and mix with the pan juices.

Notes

Let leftovers cool and store in an airtight container. It keeps in the fridge for up to 4 days or can be frozen for up to 3 months.
