Delicious and creamy pralines made with brown sugar, butter, and pecans, perfect for sharing and indulging.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of pecans
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the Base Ingredients: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, heavy cream, and butter.
  2. Bring to a Boil: Cook over medium heat, stirring until the mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Reach the Perfect Consistency: Continue boiling for 5-7 minutes, or until it reaches soft ball stage (238°F/114°C).
  4. Stir in the Goodies: Remove from heat, stir in pecans, vanilla, and salt.
  5. Drop onto Wax Paper: Allow to cool slightly, then drop spoonfuls onto wax paper.
  6. Cool Completely: Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

Store pralines in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or in the fridge for up to a month.
