Tender, juicy brisket smothered in barbecue sauce that brings comfort and flavor for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 45 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Combine the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
  4. Place the brisket in a roasting pan and add beef broth around it.
  5. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 4-5 hours.
  7. Remove from the oven, uncover the pan, and brush the BBQ sauce generously over the brisket.
  8. Increase the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake uncovered for another 30 minutes.
  9. Let the brisket rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Slice against the grain for maximum tenderness. Prepare spice rub a day in advance for convenience.
