A smooth, velvety spread bursting with the vibrant flavors of fresh oranges, perfect for breakfast toast and desserts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • Zest of 2 oranges
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the orange juice, orange zest, sugar, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl. Slowly drizzle the warm orange mixture into the eggs while whisking continuously.
  3. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the cubed butter until melted and smooth.
  5. Cool the Orange Curd and transfer to a jar. It’s ready to use!

Notes

Use fresh orange juice for the best flavor. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
