A delightful dessert that combines the refreshing flavors of oranges with a creamy texture, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Orange slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the vanilla cake mix, orange juice, vegetable oil, eggs, and orange zest until well combined.
  3. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  6. In a separate bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
  7. Once the cakes are cool, spread whipped cream between the layers and on top of the cake.
  8. Garnish with orange slices. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Use fresh orange juice for a brighter flavor. Cool cake layers completely before frosting.
