A delightful one pot dish featuring shrimp and crab in a creamy Alfredo sauce, perfect for cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained and flaked
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or seafood broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Start by boiling a large pot of water over high heat. Once it’s bubbling, sprinkle in a generous amount of salt. Add your fettuccine or linguine, cooking until al dente according to package instructions. Drain it, but don’t forget to reserve a bit of the cooking water!
  2. Sauté the Garlic: In a separate pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté just until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Create the Sauce: Pour in the chicken or seafood broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring this mixture to a gentle simmer, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  4. Add the Seafood: Gently fold in the shrimp and crab meat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp turns pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Combine the Pasta: Drain your pasta if you haven’t already. Add the pasta to the creamy sauce and seafood mixture, tossing everything together. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to reach desired creaminess.
  6. Finish with Cheese: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and transforms the sauce into a velvety dream. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. Serve: Ladle the creamy shrimp and crab Alfredo into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.
