One-Pan Garlic Butter Chicken and Green Beans

A quick and delicious one-pan meal featuring tender chicken and crisp green beans in a rich garlic butter sauce.

  • 1.5 lbs (680g) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb (450g) fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 3 tbsp (42g) butter, divided
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) chicken broth (or water)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  2. Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken to the hot skillet in a single layer and cook until golden brown.
  4. Sauté the green beans with the remaining butter and minced garlic for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, cover, and steam the green beans for 2 minutes.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss with green beans.
  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
