Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced and peeled apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Mix well until the apples are coated, then spread the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Mix together oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until crumbly in another bowl.
  5. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of ice cream.

Notes
