Perfectly chewy oatmeal raisin cookies with a hint of cinnamon, packed with plump raisins for a satisfying treat.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl, then gradually stir into the wet mixture.
  5. Mix in the rolled oats and raisins until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space between each.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool on wire racks before enjoying.

Notes

For a twist, substitute raisins with chocolate chips or nuts. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
