Delicious and comforting oatmeal raisin cookies that are chewy, sweet, and perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, mixing well.
  6. Add the rolled oats and raisins, stirring until evenly combined.
  7. Portion spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spaced about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are set.
  9. Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
