A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, these Mini Grilled Cheese Hawaiian Rolls are soft, cheesy, and perfect for any gathering.

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 12 slices American cheese or cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
  3. Prepare the garlic butter by mixing softened butter with garlic powder.
  4. Spread the garlic butter on the outer sides of each roll half.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches by placing two slices of cheese on each roll half.
  6. Complete the sandwiches by covering the cheesy halves with the top halves of the rolls.
  7. Grill the sandwiches on the preheated grill or skillet for 3-4 minutes on one side.
  8. Flip the sandwiches and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Slice the sandwiches into individual mini sandwiches after cooling.
  10. Garnish with parsley if desired.
