A delightful three-layer treat combining a crunchy biscuit base, luscious caramel layer, and rich chocolate topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g digestive biscuits
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 397g sweetened condensed milk
  • 100g light brown sugar
  • 150g dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 9×9 inch square baking pan.
  2. Crush the digestive biscuits until fine crumbs form, then mix with melted butter and press into the prepared pan.
  3. Combine the sweetened condensed milk and light brown sugar in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until thickened, about 10 minutes. Pour over the biscuit base.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the caramel is golden. Allow to cool completely.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate and pour it over the cooled caramel layer.
  6. Refrigerate until the chocolate is set, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For an extra crunch, you can add chopped nuts to the biscuit base. Milk chocolate can be used instead of dark for a sweeter version.
