A heartwarming and creamy casserole that combines pasta, meat, and gooey cheese, perfect for family-friendly meals.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente; then drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the ground beef along with the chopped onion and minced garlic, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Combine the marinara sauce, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and let it simmer.
  5. Mix the cooked spaghetti with the meat sauce mixture and cottage cheese.
  6. Layer half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased baking dish.
  7. Cheese the casserole with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat with the remaining spaghetti mixture and rest of the cheese.
  9. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  11. Cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil if desired.
