This warm and cheesy casserole combines chicken, rice, and a creamy sauce, topped with crunchy breadcrumbs for the ultimate comfort food experience.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the cooked chicken, rice, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread it out evenly.
  4. Sprinkle breadcrumbs generously on top of the casserole.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until hot and bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker option. Feel free to swap mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
