Delightful tartlets combining rich brown butter and maple syrup for a perfect sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and aromatic. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the cooled brown butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Press the mixture into mini tartlet pans and bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly golden.
  5. Whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and heavy cream until smooth in another bowl.
  6. Pour the filling into the baked tart shells.
  7. Bake for another 15-20 minutes until the filling is set.
  8. Let cool before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle maple syrup on top for added flavor.
