Delicious and easy-to-prepare wraps filled with grilled chicken, fresh romaine lettuce, and creamy Caesar dressing, perfect for a summer meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large tortilla wraps
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup croutons, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Create the Flavorful Marinade: In a bowl, combine lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Whisk them together to create a vibrant marinade.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  3. Prepare the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ready for that perfect sear.
  4. Grill the Chicken: Place the marinated chicken on the grill and cook for 6 to 8 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F). Once cooked, remove the chicken and let it rest for 5 minutes to retain its juices.
  5. Slice the Chicken: After resting, slice the grilled chicken into thin, appetizing strips ready to be transformed into a wrap.
  6. Toss the Lettuce: In a large bowl, toss the freshly chopped romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing, ensuring each leaf is lightly coated.
  7. Assemble the Wraps: Lay a tortilla flat and layer it with the dressed lettuce, sliced chicken, grated Parmesan, and crushed croutons for that delightful crunch.
  8. Roll It Up: Roll the tortilla tightly, folding in the sides to enclose the filling. It should look like a delectable burrito.
  9. Crisp Up the Wrap: Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Place the wrap seam-side down in the pan and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  10. Slice and Serve: Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately, enjoying the delightful combination of textures and flavors.

Notes

If there are leftovers, store the unassembled wraps in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Keep the dressing separate to prevent sogginess.
