Delightfully fluffy donuts filled with zesty lemon custard, perfect for any time of the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup lemon custard (store-bought or homemade)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Combine the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Mix the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan with the batter, filling each cavity about halfway.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool the donuts slightly, then remove them and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Fill each donut with lemon custard using a piping bag.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Best enjoyed fresh.
