A delightful dessert combining the tartness of lemons with a sweet and buttery crust, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made tart shell
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine sugar, eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring continuously until thickened, about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the butter until melted and smooth.
  4. Pour the lemon curd into the prepared tart shell.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes until set.
  6. Allow to cool before serving.
