Delightful lemon bars that perfectly blend tangy and sweet flavors, easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the flour and powdered sugar, then cut in the butter until crumbly. Press into the prepared pan.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and baking powder until smooth, then pour over crust.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until set and lightly golden.
  5. Allow to cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar and slice into squares.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients. Avoid overbaking to maintain the desired texture.
