Hot Honey Salmon

A delightful dish combining sweet and spicy flavors with crispy salmon fillets coated in a luscious honey-hot sauce glaze.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Season the fillets with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  5. Combine honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, and olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Let the glaze simmer for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  7. Brush half of the hot honey glaze over the salmon fillets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  9. Broil on high for the last 2 minutes for an irresistible glaze finish.
  10. Brush the remaining hot honey glaze over the salmon and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  11. Serve immediately while hot and glistening.

Notes

For a delightful pairing, serve with jasmine rice or quinoa and a fresh salad.
