A delightful blend of buttery goodness and honey creates a creamy frosting perfect for cakes and cupcakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 23 cups powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter in a large mixing bowl with a hand or stand mixer until creamy.
  2. Gradually add in the honey and mix until combined.
  3. Slowly add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing until smooth; adjust with heavy cream or milk if needed.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract if desired.
  5. Use the frosting to decorate cakes or cupcakes as needed.

Notes

For a lighter frosting, whip longer in Step 1. Don’t rush adding the powdered sugar to prevent lumps.
