A delightful twist on classic buttercream, naturally sweetened with honey for a rich flavor that enhances any dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 24 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cream the softened butter until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the honey and continue mixing until well combined.
  3. Slowly add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed to prevent a sugar cloud.
  4. Once all the sugar is incorporated, add the milk and vanilla extract. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed.
  5. Beat the frosting for an additional 3-5 minutes until it is fluffy and smooth.
  6. Use immediately to frost cakes or cupcakes, or store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to use.

Notes

Make sure your butter is at room temperature for easier blending. Adjust sweetness by varying honey to taste.
