  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water (between 100°F and 110°F)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, enhances yeast activation)

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and optional sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Pour in the warm water and olive oil, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Form the dough into a ball, place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two equal portions.
  6. Roll out each portion to desired thickness on a floured surface.
  7. Transfer the rolled crusts to a pizza stone or baking sheet and pre-bake for 5 minutes at 475°F (245°C).
  8. Top the crusts with sauce, cheese, and desired toppings, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  9. Cool slightly before slicing and serving hot.
