An easy homemade version of the beloved chocolate hazelnut spread that is creamy, customizable, and full of nostalgia.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hazelnuts
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roast the hazelnuts on a baking sheet for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool and rub off the skins.
  3. Blend the hazelnuts in a food processor until they form a smooth paste, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and salt, blending until smooth and creamy.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or cocoa to your liking.
  6. Store in an airtight jar at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Use high-quality hazelnuts for the best flavor. Stir if separation occurs while stored.
